THERMAL ENGINEER

Description

  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the fundamental physics associated with heat and fluid flow and the ability to apply this understanding to complex design modeling. The ability to clearly catch technically complex material and structure within cross-functional design by taking advantage of additive manufacturing is a must, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure that, from initial concept to design fruition, all thermal objectives are met or surpassed in order to optimize the heat dissipation and transfer.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Physics with emphasis on Heat Transfer or Fluid Dynamics.
  • Understanding on conduction, convection (passive and active), and radiation
  • Numeric modeling techniques and concepts associated with lattice structures
  • A thorough understanding of heat sinks, heat exchangers, heat pipes and vapor chambers in extreme environment
  • CAD and CFD tools for mechanical and heat transfer simulation
  • Flow and thermal measurement techniques.
  • Additive manufacturing processes related to heat exchangers
  • The ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions to complex, multi-discipline design problems
  • Persistent attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills


MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Machine system design for additive manufacturing (AM) and parts design for products. Understand and resolve issues in R&D and production.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Engineering, Laser, Physics, or EE. 2+ years hands-on experience on AM and laser processing related work.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, good attitude, and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Solidworks design of complex parts and systems
  • Understand AM process and mechanical characterization
  • Understand metal alloys and thermal transfer
  • Strong communication and people interaction skills. Good at presentation and documentation
  • Capable of doing parallel works


ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with AM system development group for electronics design, control hardware integration, and implementation and test.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electronics, or Optoelectronics. 5+ years hands-on experience on control and automation electronics and problem solving
  • Self-motivated, energetic, good attitude, and detail-oriented
  • Understanding control electronics and microprocessor
  • Understand image processing and thermal transfer
  • Strong communication and people interaction skills. Good at presentation and documentation
  • Capable of doing parallel works


MECHATRONICS ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Carry out machine control and software development for additive manufacturing (AM). Understand and resolve issues in R&D and production.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Engineering, Laser, Physics, or EE. 2+ years hands-on experience on AM and laser processing related work.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, good attitude, and detail-oriented
  • Understand machine control and AM process
  • Understand image processing and thermal transfer
  • Proficient in system automation programming
  • Strong communication and people interaction skills. Good at presentation and documentation
  • Capable of doing parallel works


LASER ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Carry out fiber laser based additive manufacturing (AM). Understand and resolve the issues in R&D and production.
  • Do experiments, automation, and organize documents.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Engineering, Laser, Physics, or EE. 5+ years hands-on experience on AM and laser processing related work.
  • Self motivated, energetic, good attitude, and detail-oriented
  • Understanding metallurgy, material-laser interaction, and AM process development
  • Understanding ultrafast laser processing. Proficient in automation programming
  • Strong communication and people interaction skills. Good at presentation and documentation
  • Capable of doing parallel works


LASER PROCESSING ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Carry out fiber laser material processing. Understand and resolve the issues in the R&D and production.
  • Do experiments and organize documents.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Optics, Laser, Physics, or EE. 5+ years hands-on experience on laser processing
  • Self motivated, energetic, good attitude, and detail-oriented
  • Understanding ultrafast laser proceessing. Proficient in short pulse characterization
  • Understanding of laser engineering and femtosecond fiber laser
  • Strong communication and people interaction skills. Good at presentation and documentation
  • Capable of doing parallel works
  • Team work
