Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, PolarOnyx, Inc. was founded in 2002 by a group of Bell Labs/Lucent veterans and successful Silicon Valley entrepreneurs.
Based on our proprietary technology of pulse shaping, spectral shaping and polarization shaping, and our specialty in generation and amplification of ultrashort pulse and narrow linewidth fiber lasers, PolarOnyx has developed a series of first-to-the-market and best-in-class fiber laser products for material processing, optical sensing and biomedical applications.

PolarOnyx has received two product innovation awards at CLEO 2006 & 2007 in high energy and high power femtosecond fiber lasers.

PolarOnyx envisions that our patented proprietary technology (over 25 granted patents on fiber lasers) will revolutionize development of ultrashort pulsed fiber lasers and impact future applications. PolarOnyx's proprietary shaping technologies provide capability of manipulating photonic signals to deal with nonlinear distortion, gain narrowing, timing jitter, and noise degradation.
